Welcome back to Radio TF2.
Does anybody here remember american clan LDS, back from the mid 60s? The tag stood for Latino Death Squad and was the first american clan with members entirely composed of people of latino heritage. One famous member of this clan was singer/actor Trini Lopez, which had released a few TF2-related songs before starting to play TF competitively. His most popular song amongst those was without doubt the adaption of the folk song “If I Had A Hammer”, which was a hit in 1962 for Peter, Paul and Mary.
Lopez mentioned in an interview that he wanted to carry over the communal spirit of the song to this, I quote, “wonderful game which connects all kind of people, regardless of color, gender or religion, and unites them as equals working for a common goal”, end quote.

If I had a wrench
I’d build sentries in the morning
I’d build sentries in the evening
All over this map
I would also build dispensers
And teleporters
All of that I’d do to help
my brothers and my sisters - ah-aaah
to win this matchIf I had a knife
I’d stab people in the morning
I’d stab people in the evening
Most likely in the back
I would take out enemy medics
Sap enemy sentries
All of that I’d do to help
my brothers and my sisters - ah-aaah
to win this matchIf I had a medigun
I would heal you in the morning
I would heal you in the evening
I would keep you alive
During which I’d build my uber
and when the time came
we would go and pave the way
for our brothers and our sister - ah-aaah
to win this matchWell, we’ve got a wrench
And we’ve got a knife
and a medigun to heal
other weapons too
If together we attack
If together we defend
If together we stand as team
my brothers and my sister
we will win this match
we will win this match
we will win this match
we will win this match
we will win this match
